Top 10 Things To Love About Your Business

Do your run your own business? Despite the hardships that can be faced, the business owners we work with are pretty much in agreement about one thing – They do love running a business.

Here’s our list of top 10 things to love about running a business:

• You are your own boss. No one is going to tell you what to do.

• You’re working in an industry you love, and that you chose. Getting up on a morning becomes a lot less of a chore when you’re on your way to do something you enjoy doing.

• Flexibility. You can set your working hours to suit you!

• You can spend time with those that matter. Ok, this kind of comes under flexibility too. But there’s a lot to be said for been there for loved ones in times of need. We’re not saying you won’t have a lot of work on and can’t always drop everything that instant, but you’re not tied to a 9 to 5 either and can change things around so that you don’t miss that all important school play or family emergency.

• You can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. PPE and workwear aside depending on your profession of course. But you’re not bound to a strict, super smart dress code and can dress up and dress down as you feel like it.

• You can get out and about. Your days can be spent how you like and you can work from wherever you choose. You’re not tied to a desk and not tied to set break times.

• No two days are the same. You’re in charge of your workload and can break your day up how you like, working for different clients on different days.

• You get to meet all kinds of people. Having to grow and develop your own client base means you get to meet new people all the time that you wouldn’t normally.

• You get to learn new skills and wear many hats. Running a business requires more than just doing the work your in business to do. You get to learn skills in marketing, accounting, staff management and much more! You’re expanding your horizons and broadening your skill sets.

• You can surround yourself with those you want to work with. No longer are you stuck in an office with people you don’t get on with. You’re in charge of hiring, so you can surround yourself with people you get on with!
