This is the system we follow and teach to all our clients. It’s a framework in which you can assess what is working in your business and what could work so much better. It’s our essential recipe that helps a business owner step out of their business and evaluate it step by step, with the aim being to build a commercial profitable enterprise that can work without them.
Lee Hart of Unbranded Digital, a marketing agency based in Bradford, first came to us at ActionCOACH Wakefield in Spring 2019.
Lee would be the first to admit he was stuck in a rut back then.
His business was getting by, but it had become endless daily work with no real growth. Lee was fulfilling most of those projects and he couldn’t really see a way to progress on to the next level, to employ more staff and free up his own time a bit more. Add to that, sleepless nights and anxiety about whether he could really afford to pay himself each month.
In an initial meeting, our lead coach Jenni Morgan, introduced Lee to our 6 Steps to Building A Better Business.
This introduction to the 6 steps gave Lee a framework with which to assess his business against.
GrowthCLUB Coaching Programmes
Given the size of the business at that time, Lee opted to attend our GrowthCLUB.
GrowthCLUB is our quarterly business planning club, where a group of business owners meet every quarter, gain a little business education and plan what they’re going to do for the next quarter and so on to achieve business growth.
After just over a year of GrowthCLUB, Lee decided to take things further and invested in our ActionCLUB. This is where business owners of a similar size and scale, with similar challenges meet once a fortnight and gain valuable business education, running in detail through our 6 steps model.
This begins with Mastery, where we look at eliminating the chaos from the business.
We looked at Destination Mastery and discussed a 5 year vision for the business. Where did he want to be? What that meant from an office point of view, how many staff, how many clients he’ll need and so on.
We then looked at Time Mastery – working out where Lee’s time was spent in the business. What was he doing each day and what did he want to be doing. We looked at the types of people he needed around him to enable him to lighten his own workload.
We spent some time on Delivery Mastery – ensuring each client is consistently getting a great customer experience, and the whole process runs smoothly and efficiently.
Most importantly, we worked on Financial Mastery – where Jenni worked with Lee to help him better understand the financials of his business, giving him tools to measure his cash flow and get to grips with how much money he needs to make to get to where he wants to be.
We also looked at Sales & Marketing and various stages of Systemisation within the business.

Over a 3 – 5 year journey with business owners, we aim to get you where you want to be.
We define a successful business as ‘a commercial, profitable enterprise that can work without you’.
It doesn’t mean it has to, but it does give you freedom of choice. That’s choice to do the parts you want to do within the business, or take 6 months off, spend time with your family or set up another business. It gives you a better quality of life and a better work-life balance.
There’s also a great extra benefit at that point. If your business isn’t reliant on you and you decide to sell it, it’s likely to be worth 4 – 5 times the amount as anyone buying it is then buying a systemised business that works well and won’t be reliant on them either!
GrowthCLUB was a great introduction for Lee and got him used to planning for 90 Day results, gaining increases each quarter. ActionCLUB then gave him the step up to more intensive learning and support to help him meeting the challenges in his business.
4 Times Turnover, 4 Times Profit!
Lee Hart has reaped the rewards of the hard work he’s put in to the business, with our guidance. He’s now celebrating 4 times turnover and, more importantly, 4 times profit growth since we began our journey together.
Lee’s also employed 2 more staff, has moved to a new office, bought a house and has bought his dream car, a Tesla!
He’s also starting to plan a new business venture which he has been seeking our 1-2-1 coaching support over.
