New information on working safely during Covid-19

The Government announced on Sunday May 10th that those who could not work from home could return to work, ie. those who work in manufacturing, industry and building trades where they can not do there via a computer at home.

While Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s speech left plenty of confusion, we conclude that if you have been working from home, nothing has changed for you for now.

Those in the construction industry, manufacturing or any industry that requires you to manually operate machinery and be at a specific place of work, those workers are being encouraged to get back to work if it safe to do so.

The government has now issued guidance for all employers around setting up a safe workplace for workers to go back to.

See the guidance on the Gov.uk website here.
